Here’s a sneak peak of Nicekicks’ newest collab. Already teaming up with Asics and Adidas, this installment features the ever popular New Balance 1500. It appears to use a variety of greys in suede, perf suede, and mesh with highlighted red accents. Look for more info on this dope collab to drop next week.
The Gel Saga II is proving to be Asics’ go-to model for next year. With Asics previewing their own colorways and a sneak peak at a Patta collab, here we have looks at two potential Ronnie Fieg collabs. The first Fieg collab, which was previewed recently, features a familiar suede tonal approach. The other, previewed a while back, utilizes a perf grey upper with red and blue accents, a little reminiscent of Concept’s New Balance 999 “The Kennedy.” No word on if and when either will drop, but there will certainly be a fair share of Gel Saga’s in the future.
The Gel Saga seems to be picking up steam. After the release of two OG colorways not too long ago, it seems we can expect a few more OG colorways to drop this Spring/Summer. While it has taken a little while for Asics to catch on in the states, the prospects of clean releases like the ones above, and the potential for exceedingly hyped collab releases with the likes of Patta and Ronnie Fieg are sure to position Asics for a bright future.
On September 30th in conjunction with opening of his Kith shop, Ronnie Fieg will be dropping the Salmon Toe’s in limited numbers. There will be 72 pairs in store, 40 of which will be with the wooden collectors box. Some pairs will be released online at kithnyc.com, but the previous two RF releases are any indication getting these online will be a crap shoot.
Fieg previewed these samples last year and the response was unanimously positive. It seems that feedback has finally put these samples into production. With his Kith store about to open doors, look for these Salmon Toes to blow out when they drop. This is a must have colorway for Gel Lyte III fans, and sure to build hype for the new Kith shop.
What do you like more the kicks or the model? In any case, Ronnie Fieg is at it again putting high quality materials and colorways on the split-tongued Gel Lyte III silhouette. The Leatherback’s feature a black leather and charcoal pig suede upper. The teal pop accents set this shoe off, while keeping this release in a familiar color family as with Fieg’s last three Asics drops. Look for these to drop at Fieg’s soon to be opened Kith shop.
